2001 Montinore Pinot Gris Willamette Valley Oregon
Here's a new wine from Oregon's premiere wine producing region. Made from 100 percent Pinot Gris, the wine is loaded with apple and pear flavors, and while not super crisp, has the balance and acidity to drink very well with Sushi and other fresh fish dishes. The clear and pale golden colored wine has lots of different tastes that seem to come out more as the wine opens. Still very young, this wine that should sell for under $12.00 a bottle is a lively white that will be a perfect wine for the next 12-18 months that can be enjoyed with food or by itself.
