I'm in Brasserie Perrier in Philadelphia and realizing how smoke free California is so different. But as this is a warm up for London and Paris and other parts of France, I don't mind.

2003 L'Alycastre Domaine la Courtade Cotes de Provence

From the area near St. Tropez off the I'll de Presquille comes this light pink colored wine made from Cinsault and Grenache. Very dry, the wine is Tavel like crisp with light tart strawberry and raspberry fruit and a hint of lemon squirt acidity. Very refreshing.

2003 Jindalee Shiraz Australia

Very dark inky purple wine, with a deep lush black raspberry and blueberry nose. On the palate the wine reveals super saturated blueberry and plum flavors. Wonderfully balanced and already approachable, this is a delightful bistro wine.

Cheers,

Andy
